Surf to Launch Two Events in New England in 2021
Copa Surf on Memorial Day and Surf Challenge March 12-14
Boston MA, 30th October, 2020; New England Surf is delighted to announce that two events are being launched in 2021 in Massachusetts.
The Copa Surf (Memorial Day -May 28th-31st, 2021) will act as a qualifier for the San Diego Surf Cup, regarded as one of the best events in all of North America. The event will cater to teams from U9 to U14 and has secured key facilities such as Union Point Sports Complex in Weymouth, Wheaton College in Norton, Leary Fields in Acton and Fessenden Fields in Newton. It is expected to draw Clubs from Canada, NY, NJ and all of New England.
Held each year in San Diego, Surf Cup is regarded as one of the top showcase tournaments in the Country.
In March, the Surf Challenge Cup will present the first opportunity to get some pre-season games ahead of the Spring Season. Set for the weekend of March 12th-14th the event will be backstopped by some of the best facilities in Massachusetts including Progin Park in Lancaster, Lovell and Legion Fields in Weymouth, Fruit Street Fields in Hopkinton and NEFC Park in Mendon. Age groups served will be U9 to U19.

Clubs already committed include NEFC, Seacoast United, Rhode Island Surf, Connecticut Football Club, Ottawa City SC, New Jersey Surf, SFC New England, Far Post VT and FC Conquistadores de Puerto Rico [COVID dependent].
Rounding off the year, look for a third event to be announced in the future, the New England Surf Labor Day Cup, to be held out of Rogers Field in Devens, MA and open to teams from U9-U15.
